Thursday
Students took the Stems List #3 +2 +1 Quiz.
P3 and P4 - we went over and students turned in Pronouns w/s p. 2 and p. 116 (Messed-up Titles and Bicycle Stew).
P3 - extra enrichment points for those who had completed the work; it will not count against the others.
All periods completed and turned in questions #1-8 on p. 38 (except #3).

Students completed an open-book quiz on "Broken Chain".
They turned in the remaining "Pronouns and Antecedents) w/s. Homework

Students took the Stem List Quiz #2, read and answered questions on the Cuban Missile Crisis informational text, and completed a survey. The CMC results are graphed by each student in their goals folder. The SLQ #2 results are posted on our class' PDSA board for discussion and feedback.

- engaged in grammar, mechanics, and usage activities
- had time to study and work on their Stems List #1 (test postponed until next week - keep studying)
- practiced their Language Arts skill online (P3)
- completed a New York Times activity online [With one partner, choose your top 10 Innovations. Open a Word doc, rank them from highest (10 - best) to lowest in Word (put the name of the innovation in bold). Explain why you chose each one (type 2-3 well-written sentences). Do NOT copy and paste - that would be plagiarism. Remember to do quality work. Delete any extra blank pages, make sure names of both you and your partner plus date and period are at the top, and print.] P4, and 5/6 Those who finished turned their work in. There will be time next week for the rest to complete and print their work.
